Welcome

There is unmistakably a need to improve the skills of sports administrators all over the world. Too often, these administrators, although full of good will, do not have at their disposal the necessary tools to adapt to an ever-changing and ever more complicated environment. This situation often creates imbalances which adversely affect the smooth development of sport. This is why, in 2004, FIFA and CIES set up a unique International University Network with reputable and forward-thinking universities, to offer a sports (and not solely football) management programme in a certain number of key countries.

The FIFA/CIES sport management programme covers key areas of sport management, namely law, management, event management, communication, finance, and marketing. It aims to familiarise students with the principles and methods of global management in today’s world, as well as adapting these to the realities of situations at a local economic, cultural and social level. For more information about the courses please call +41 32 718 3900 or send an email to CIES .
