After the excellent experience in Argentina in 2014, twenty-eight students from the third edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management organised in cooperation with Universidad San Martín de Porres in Lima recently took part in a 4-day study trip to Chile.
Accompanied by the three Peruvian Programme managers, they had the opportunity to attend a seminar on the legacy of major sports events and to watch a Copa America match, with Chile beating Uruguay 1-0. They also took the time to visit infrastructures renovated or built for major sports events organised by Chile over the last few years. Moreover, the participants were able to discuss case studies concerning international competitions and Chilean sport.
During the trip, the students from Lima also met their colleagues from Universidad Santo Tomás de Santiago as well as other members of the FIFA/CIES International University Network from different countries (Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala and Venezuela).
