The FIFA Master is a unique 10-month sport (and not solely football...) Master programme, initiated by FIFA, coordinated by CIES, and taught by three prestigious European universities: De Montfort University (Leicester, UK), SDA Bocconi School of Management (Milan, IT) and Neuchatel University (Neuchatel, CH), in association with the Università della Svizzera italiana.
What made you decide to enroll for this course?
Being involved in sport for many years I saw this as an opportunity to equip myself with the latest information so as to be in a better position to serve.
What were your expectations from this program in sport management?
My expectations were to obtain the latest information in the management of sport. I can safely say that all my expectations were met. It was definitely worth it.
How have you benefited from this training in sport management?
It has improved my managerial skills. I became aware of the importance of all the different aspects in sport management. I can also use the knowledge I acquired in my day to day activities and my work.
What is your overall impression of the course and would you recommend that others should enroll for it?
The course organized and presented by Mr Vernon Oosthuizen and his team (lecturers and admin staff) was a job well done. I am spreading the message to recruit and encourage people to enroll. It was worthwhile and a real eye-opener and very informative.
CIES (International Centre for Sports Studies), located in Neuchatel, is a private Swiss foundation, affiliated with the University of Neuchatel and created in 1995 by FIFA (under the impetus of its current president, Mr. Joseph S. Blatter), the University of Neuchatel, and the City and Canton of Neuchatel.
