Speaking about his new position, he said, “I am a member of the Strategy, Planning and Digital Ventures team. Our role is to proactively look for the projects that FIFA should develop in the digital domain and in the fields of technology and innovation. There are many ideas related to the world of sports today, which is constantly evolving”.
As an alumnus of the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme organised jointly by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) and the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) in Spain, João emphasises the important role the curriculum played in his career development. “Thanks to the Programme, I acquired new knowledge and skills which were very useful to better tackle the challenges faced by the contemporary sports environment. I have many excellent memories of my classmates, who are still my most heartfelt supporters to this day. As a professional, I truly believe that the curriculum helped me on my way to success. I highly recommend it.”
