The Universidad de Las Américas (UDLA) and the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) have welcomed the thirty one students who will participate in the third edition of the UDLA/FEF/CIES International Programme in Sports Management. The accepted students will continue their studies until next October.
The opening ceremony took place on 11th March at the new UDLA Park Campus in Quito in the presence of Marlena León, Academic Vice-Rector, Francisco Egas, President of FEF, Vicente Albornoz, Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Nicolas Solines, Secretary General of FEF, María José Borja, Director of the Faculty, Paul Roman, Programme Director, Emilio Arias, Programme Coordinator and William Poveda, CIES Coordinator in Ecuador.
As part of the ceremony, UDLA organised a debate on the role and importance of sport management in Ecuador. The students were then able to follow the first courses of the Programme under the guidance of Fernando Bocca Ruiz, who is responsible for the management module, as well as a conference on governance by the FEF Secretary General.
