Hopefully by completing this programme, I can get a job in the sports industry and fulfill my dream.
Thus far, what are some of the areas that you’ve enjoyed within the programme? Tell me some of the highlights for you.
The Events Management course. It is fantastic. As a student with little work experience, I was ecstatic to get a feel of what it is to be involved in a major sporting event. Our class were given the opportunity to organize the (TTOC) Olympic Day run. Each student were given different duties for the Olympic day run. I got the chance to be in charge of catering and signage which allowed me the opportunity to gain valuable experience in interacting with other firms. I learned some negotiation, decision making and communication skills from this excersise. In addition to my other main responsibilities for the Olympic day run I got the opportunity to run the cricket competition on the day. This experience for sure will be be of great value to me in the future.
I must also say that all the lecturers of this programme have been excellent. They are very knowlegeable, professional, punctual and very understanding. In partictular Dr. Doukas has been fantastic.
Would you recommend this programme to others? If yes, why? If no, why not?
