What is your current professional activity? And your involvement in sport?
I am now assistant coach for the Jabbal Al-Mokaber club, a professional team.
Why did you choose to attend the FIFA/CIES Programme in Sport Management at Birzeit University?
It was very useful for me and it gave me another view of sport. It has also improved my skills in accounting, marketing, management and public relations. Also Birzeit University is a great university with great teachers.
What were your expectations before the start of the course? And… were they met?
I honestly did not expect what I have now learnt about sport management thanks to the programme.
What would you say are the key strengths of the FIFA/CIES Programme in Sport Management?
I can say that the whole course was strong - the teachers, the students and the organization, and of course, the subjects.
What benefits (on a personal and/or professional level) did you gain from attending the course?
Personally, I have made new friends and we still keep in contact thanks to the Birzeit University via the continuing education program. Professionally, I am doing everything that I have learnt from this course in my club and taking advice from my teachers.
What is your best memory/highlight of the course?
The whole course.
Would you recommend the FIFA/CIES Programme in Sport Management? Why?
Of course, and if I had the chance to attend it again and again I would be very happy, because before attending this programme we were lost. We didn’t know how to plan our sport programmes and how to market them, or how to organize a sport day. But now, thanks to this programme, the Birzeit University, the Palestine FA and FIFA/CIES, we can do it!
