Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT
30.09.2015

Graduation Ceremony at the University of the West Indies (UWI)

The University of the West Indies awarded the students of the 5th edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management their diplomas during a ceremony organised on the Saint Augustine Campus near Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) last week.

Chaired by Prof Clement Sankat, Vice-Rector and Principal of the Campus, the event allowed participants to listen to various representatives of the sport and academic sectors. Among them, Annette Knott, general secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Trinidad and Tobago, who commented on the mission and responsibilities of the sports managers in the Caribbean region: “You should not immediately aim to occupy prestigious positions within the sport world. You must also work for small organisations which need to develop. Thus, you will so gather valuable experiences at the professional and human levels.”

Thank you to the University of the West Indies for the excellent cooperation during the last 6 years and every success to the new graduates: Marsha, Nneka, Kevin, Farouk, Kiyomi, Michelle, Ferne Louanne, Corey and Peter.
