POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT
Interview with

Catherine John | graduate 2016

How has the programme contributed or added value to your career?
It has added a lot of value, I am more knowledgeable in the content I pass on to my students. I am also more confident when imparting that content because of this programme.

What were the benefits of the programme to your current position?
I am applying the knowledge gained from the programme to better organize and manage my school's extracurricular programme as well as at my sport club. I am also hoping to use it to become a manager for one of our national teams.

What was your best memory/highlight of the programme?
I did like meeting so many new, different and interesting people but I also remember enjoying the law and financial aspect of the course. As difficult as it was, I did enjoy it.

Any additional comments about the programme.
I think the course is a beneficial one to the development of sport especially in Trinidad and Tobago but I feel it would be even more beneficial if the university would partner with the various national sporting bodies for the students to also get some hands on experience and maybe in the end employment.
